Chris Staples, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer

Chris is the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Baird Trust.  He has 25 years of experience in trust and estate planning.  Chris is a member of the Trust Company’s Leadership Team.

Chris spent seven years with PNC as a Senior Wealth Planner in Louisville.  Before that, he worked for Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio for 5 years in a variety of roles including as Associate Counsel to the Private Client Group.  Before that he spent four years as a Law Clerk and Associate for Dodd & Dodd, a Louisville law firm.  Chris received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Kentucky University and a J.D. from the University of Louisville.  He has served in the U.S. Navy and the Naval Reserves.  Chris is a board member for Home of the Innocents and the Louisville Nature Center.  Chris joined our firm in 2014.
